You know how you click, click, click from one site to another..Well, today I came acroos this interesting tidbit on Penny's blog:
"Alison S has posted a "list challenge" over on her blog. It sounds interesting so I'm going to join in. She randomly chose "What's wrong with women?" as the first topic. She says
(when I first opened the book I though NO WAY! but then I thought 'Why not?" - a bit of self analysis doesn't go astray occassionally"
So, this is what I think is wrong with women:
1. they don't give themselves enough credit...being a SAHM is more than a fulltime job...as a matter of fact I saw I thread on parentcentre.babycentre.com about how much a SAHM is worth in terms of annual salary & it was worked out that she's worth over $100k
2. they are at times too giving
3. they allow men to live a life of double standards...hello, we both slept in the bed, why is it my job to make it?
4. they don't introduce themselves at pre-school (that's me)
5. they have some unrealistic expectations: life, love, etc...let the expectations go & enjoy the ride ladies!
6. they allow others to set expecations for their lives...take control back!
OK, this woman has demands being made on her...and its one of the times I can't say no. Gotta feed & bath the kids
I don't think there's too much wrong with women...look at Oprah...I can't think of a male equivalent :o)

I've got the Doodling Bug

Well, I completed my first doodled layout yesterday & here it is.
I'm pretty pleased with it & it didn't take long at all...in fact my sister was over & had to ring Telecom to get her phone put on & by the time her phone call had finished I was done.....so maybe it wasn't that quick after all :o)
I think I'm going to play around with the 4 (or more) pics within a pic thing...hmmm maybe 3 BW & 1 colour.
I took some photos of me & the kids yesterday..had to set up the tripod otherwise I'll never get a good photo of me :o) so I may practise this technique with those.
I've got a few ideas buzzing around in my brain so it looks like I'm going to have a productive week.
Stay tuned..

How Slack am I?

Ok, so I haven't been here since Easter - but I have been thinking about it.
I think I'll try to blog once a week at least & see how I go.
I made an awesome card for Wayne yesterday...inspired by the weekly challenge at ScrapbookOutlet, it'll be perfect for our anniversary in June!
Learned a bit about doodling this week courtesy of squillen and Kelly Angard, so you may be seeing some of that soon.
Ravey's first molars are coming through, so he's had a bit of a rough night. And yesterday he learned how to get himself out of bed...what an awesome little guy.
I put him down for his morning nap, heard him chattering, then he started to cry a little..a little bit of cluttering & then next thing you know there's a pitter patter coming down the hallway!
So, needless to say he went without his morning nap...then it was off to swimming lessons for him & Taigy (taigy's lesson is another story), well, by the time we finished swimming he was plum tuckered out...so straight to bed & he didn't wake til around three...but again witht he pitter patter & I went up to the room to make sure he hadn't fallen out & Hello... before he wandered down the hall he had turned the heater on & put his music in the CD player on...too clever for 14 months!!
Now, my darling Taiga & her swimming lesson.....Oh I was sooooo proud of her!
Now, here's a girl who at 4 has just let me start pouring water on her head in the bath - seriously!
I had to break the bad news to her that her cousin isn't going to be joining her at swimming (those 2 are joined at the hip - go to pre-school together & just adore each other when they're not hitting one another) Well, there were tears & tantrums & "I don't want to go swimming if Creedy's not there", but eventually we got in the car & managed to make it on time.
After a few tears she made it into the pool & her teacher was just superb!! Fortunately no other kids turned up, so she had one-on-one with Santa & she did really well....she even went under once!!! She's so cute, she concentrates so hard on what her teacher is telling her & I don't think it will be long at all before she gains her water confidence.
Keep an eye out for a swimming lesson layout with doodles!!
My prince has just woken so I'd better attend to him!

Farewell Easter, Hello Anzac Day
Well, another public holiday bites the dust....and another on the way...gotta love the extra opportunities for family pics!
Ummm this is my first blog & so I'll keep it brief. Ravey won't sleep, the rain is pouring, SKY's dropped out (der! the only time I need Sky is in foul weather!!), Taigy is at her father's & I'm missing my little pumpkin....I just realised yesterday that these holiday's aren't even 2 weeks long & yet I sent her off for the first week...dumb, dumb, dumb...a mother really should be more aware/alert or something.
Oh, I know I should be grateful for the break...but its not the same without her!
Well, I supppose I should go & do something.
